Family Underground

Family Underground is the duo from Copenhagen, Denmark. Started out in 2003, the band aquring the name in recognition of the need to express a new way to bend and mend the traditions of psychedelic sound wich has been the creative core for the band's concept: weaving intricate layers of electric storms played on guitars, synth, vocal and effects.

With the inspirations from early experimental art and music, Family Underground is trying to ask some of the same questions through electronic meditations from their work base, the Panic Room.

A slew of releases on the FU's own label Into the Lunar Night with later CD and LP releases on labels such as Weird Forest, Heavy Tapes, Sound@One, Qbico(R.I.P), Woodsist, Not Not Fun and Sloow Tapes.

These days the FU trade-mark sound is based on minimal guitar riffing, noizy synth drones and multi-layered lo-fi effects.
